The original Albini mix of In Utero can be found on the Universal Music UK re-pressing of the LP from 2003 (the mp3s someone has likely directed you to by now have quite audibly been ripped from this). Full details can be gleaned here:

www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/archive/index.php/t-21573.html

Note that it's *not* the 180g Simply Vinyl re-pressing also mentioned. Read through that whole thread for the skinny. Good luck!

I don't know about the version you're mentioning, but I have this (it's commonly available on lossless sites (in .shn or .flac):

Nirvana 1993-02-XX Pachyderm Studios, Cannon Falls, MN [STU]
In Utero first week mix

NIRVANA
Pachyderm Studios
Canon Falls, Minnesota
February 1993

Rape Me
Milk It
Heart-Shaped Box
Scentless Apprentice
Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle
Marigold
Dumb
All Apologies

Generation: Reel > DAT(x) > CDR(2) > WAV > FLAC

This is usually referred to as "In Utero first week mix".

It sounds different, and most likely does not have the compression and mastering you speak of.
